Main information about gear

Wolt provides you with the gear that is needed to safely deliver the orders. Please use Wolt gear to ensure that all the orders arrive to the customers with the highest quality possible. 

Wolt will give you:

• A delivery bag (depending of the vehicle type, the bags can differ);

• 2 jackets - a summer jacket and an inner jacket.

Upon special request, other gear items can be received as well.

Please keep the gear tidy and clean and return it once you decide to stop delivering on the Wolt platform.

Deposit for the gear

We will deduct a 50€ deposit from your Wolt Partner account. This will be paid back when you return the gear. The gear deposit amount will not vary depending on the amount of gear received - it is always 50€.

As you start doing deliveries, your balance will be -50€.

As soon as the full gear is returned, we will return the deposit back to you and you will receive it to your bank account with the next payout. Please note that in the case of a natural person contract, the gross amount is added to the courier profile and then the net amount will be paid out. That is because the deposit is deducted from the gross amount as well.

We do not charge you for the damaged gear - just request an exchange, this is completely free.

Order, exchange or return the gear

Wolt is using an external gear handout partner, who helps us with the gear handling. In order to receive, return or change the gear, please contact support.

NB! Important information when returning or exchanging equipment!

If you are returning the equipment, remember that we have exchanged our old black car bag for a new blue car delivery bag. It means that you can have black-colored bags or blue-colored bags. In this regard, we ask that you specify the exact equipment depending on which equipment you are returning.

If you change equipment, remember that it is not possible to exchange the old black car bag or cold items bag for the same products. If you want to replace one or both of them (due to equipment wear, breakage, or any other reasons), please return the entire black car equipment set (car bag, heating element with cable, and cold bag) and order a new set of car bags instead, which includes 2x new blue car bags.

As an exception, it is possible to replace the heating element of the black car bag, which we still have in stock at the moment.

NB! When returning your gear, please return it to Wolt without any exceptions.

Car delivery bag (new & blue)

The new delivery bag for car courier partners has been made with the same materials as our current bike bag - for better insulation and waterproofness.

Each car courier partner will receive TWO identical car delivery bags as a set to separate warm and cold orders - which to use with warm items and which to use with cold ones is your own choice!

Car bag (discontinued)

A car bag is used by car couriers to deliver warm food items.

• Black bag with a white logo

• A slot for electrical heating plate

Please note that car bag must be used with the electrical heating plate to ensure the quality of the delivered food will stay as high as possible.

Car bag can be changed out separately. When returning a broken car bag, please remove the working heating plate. When making the gear change order, choose only car bag.

Car bag heating plate (discontinued)

Car bag heating plate is an addition to the car bag. It must be slided into the bottom pocket of the car bag. To ensure that the heating plate is inserted correctly, please follow the “This side up” marking on the heating plate.

Car bag heating plate can be changed out separately. When returning a broken heating plate, please remove if from the car bag pocket.

Inner bag (discontinued)

An inner bag is used by car couriers to deliver cold items e.g drinks, salads, ice creams etc.

Venues usually pack hot and cold items separately. When picking up an order, please ensure you use the cold items bag for cold items and car bag for warm food items.

Bike bag

A bike bag is used by bike, e-bike, motorcycle, e-scooter couriers to deliver orders.

Summer jacket

Wolt summer jacket can be worn during all seasons. It is made of a high-performance fabric.

Inner jacket

Inner jacket is the warmest combination of our layers and is meant to be used in our coldest countries. This jacket is only given out during colder periods.

• The jacket is not waterproof, so you have to wear it together with the Summer jacket when it's raining or snowing.

Blue T-shirt with a white logo. This shirt is only given out during summer.

How to clean the gear?

A clean bag is essential to ensure good food quality and service. So how effectively and how often should you maintain your bag?

The simplest answer is that your bag should be cleaned daily, before you start filling orders!

Only by keeping it clean after each delivery, removing food residues and leaving it open to dry, can you prevent the growth of bacteria in your basket!

When fulfilling orders:

1. Hand sanitizer - you interact with a lot of people and touch a lot of door handles when delivering orders. To limit the spread of bacteria, it is a good idea to wash and disinfect your hands frequently.

2. Antibacterial wipes - wet wipes not only help with personal hygiene, but are also great for spills on the go. After all, you don't want an accident to stop you in the middle of a rush hour, so we recommend always keeping a pack of wet wipes in the side pocket of your Wolt bag.

When orders are completed:

1. Hot water

2. Soap

3. Clean cloths, or sponges if the outside of the bag is dirty.

You can wash your bag like any other hard surface at home, but don't forget to clean the handles, zippers and other parts of the bag that are touched often. After cleaning the bag, we recommend leaving it open (or partially open) so that it can air out when not in use.

Once the bag is clean, it is important to store it in a place where it will remain clean. The ideal place should be well ventilated, dry, protected from animals and pests and safe.
